New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday moved the Supreme Court seeking death penalty for Babbar Khalsa terrorist Jagtar Singh Hawara.

The terrorist is convicted of killing former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh.

The move by the CBI came after the Punjab High Court overturned a death sentence and sent him to life imprisonment.

Hawara had once escaped from Burail jail in a daring escape but was later arrested.
