New Delhi: The gruesome Nithari case seems to be getting murkier with each passing day.

Following the lapse on the part of the police regarding investigations, the CBI on Friday appealed to the general public to refrian from sharing information about the killings of women and children in Nithari without proper checking of the identity cards of the officers.

CBI issued the appeal after some people who posed as CBI officials were wandering around Nithari, and after the camp office of the probe agency seeking details from the victims and also assuring help in getting monetary relief.

The CBI, while alerting the public, said that they should share information only after verifying the antecedents of the investigator.
