The Vallalar Isaippani Mandram released its first CD of songs, Arutpa Amudham penned by Ramalinga Adigalar, popularly known as Vallalar and sung by singer Geetha Prabhakar here on Sunday.
Music director M S Vishwanathan released the CD while Alagar Ramanujam, founder of Vethathiri Maharishi Ashram received the first copy of the CD.
M S Viswanathan also released another CD Nilavoliyinil consisting of songs written by N Somasundaram, head of Vallalar Isaippani Mandram. The CD Arutpa Amudham consists of 10 songs, while Nilavoliyinil, consists of 18 songs, all sung by Geetha Prabhakar.
M S Viswanathan who also listened to the concert conducted by Geetha earlier extended his wishes to the singer. Alagar Ramanujam also appreciated the efforts taken by Geetha on the songs.
Somasundaram who organised the CD release said, “This is the first CD release for the Vallalar Isaippani Mandram.”
Popular actor and director Vijay Krishnaraj was also present on the occasion.
