New Delhi: Even as Naxal menace seems to be growing, the Union Government is planning special incentives for employees in Naxal-hit areas.
Sources have told CNN-IBN that the Centre is planning to initially implement the incentive scheme in 33 Naxal-hit districts across the country.
The incentives to government employees includes: retaining residence at the place from where they have been transferred to Naxal-hit areas while children will get overriding preference for admission in schools.
Postings in Naxal-affected areas would be treated as a hard posting and it will also reflect as positive in the Annual Confidential Report.
In the event of the death of the employee during posting in the Naxal-hit areas, one member of the family will get a government job.
The employee will get 25 per cent of basic pay as Tough Area Allowance with state governments at liberty to give even higher rate of allowance.
Employees will get also insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh.
