Noida: Adobe India CEO Naresh Gupta on Thursday denied receiving an income tax notice on the Rs 50-lakh ransom he is said to have paid for the release of his kidnapped son.
"I have received a notice but it has nothing to with the kidnapping," Gupta said.
"The Income Tax department has sent me notices earlier too and there is nothing new about this. I am ready to share all information and if needed, I will also present my property and income statement to the income tax department," he added.
"I will give them whatever information is demanded. I have no hesitation in going to the income tax office," he said.
According to reports, the income tax department of Ghaziabad, had sent Gupta a notice demanding an explanation about the ransom he had paid for the release of his son Anant. The three-year-old boy was kidnapped from outside his home while he on his way to the bus stop to board his school bus.
After Anant's release, police had recovered the money from the kidnappers. Anant was kidnapped on November 14 and was recovered four days later.
