Mumbai: Bollywood actor Chandrachur Singh, who has been a part of films like 'Maachis', 'Josh' and 'Kya Kehna' in the early 90s, is all set to make his debut on small screen as the host on a cookery show.
The 42-year-old actor will be seen hosting TV show 'Royal Rasoi', a weekly lifestyle, travel and food show, produced by his brother Aditya Narayan Singh, for FoodFood channel. 'Royal Rasoi' is a show that explores recipes patronised
by the erstwhile royalty. The show will not only cook up a meal fit for a king, but will also talk about the royal household the recipe comes from, special recipe along with the history and anecdotes attached to it.
"It is a great travel-lifestyle-food show. It takes one to the roots and culture of India. Besides showing the recipes, what is more interesting is that the show will talk about the cultural diversity, history, music, art and architecture," Chandrachur told PTI.
For him, the show is interesting in a way as he got the chance to visit places like Kota and Karauli where his paternal grandparents belonged to. "It was an enriching experience for me as it took me back to my roots. I got to explore these places and other new places. I cherish all this and also the fact that I got to learn a lot of things," he said. The show will go on air this month.
