Charges framed in Keenan-Reuben case, trial from November 6

Mumbai: Charges were framed against the accused in the Keenan-Reuben murder case on Tuesday. According to reports, the trial will start from November 6. 28-year-old Reuben Fernandez and 25-year-old Keenan Santos were killed by a group of four in October last year after they objected to misbehaviour with their women companions.

Four people were arrested for murder and sexual harassment and several others were booked for rioting in the case. The suspects have been accused of murder, molestation and sexual assault. Keenan and Reuben were killed in October, 2011 when they tried to save their female friends from being sexually assaulted.

The victims along with five others, including three girls, had gone to a bar to have dinner. After a while, they came out of the restaurant and were standing near a pan-shop, when the incident had occurred, police had said.
