Pune: It's all in the chase and that's what Film And Television Institute of India (FTII) student Saurav Dey learned.
Like the paparazzi who tailed Angelina Jolie during her visit to India for shooting of her movie A Mighty Heart, the young filmmaker found that coming within feet of the Hollywood star was mighty tough.
Chasing the elusive actor made news for some, it made a movie for Saurav Dey, one that fetched him the golden award for best student documentary from the Indian Documentary Producers' Association.
Dey says, “My objective of the documentary was to get to three feet of Angelina jolie and speak to her for three minutes as a film student. My basic idea was how do I get to her."
Catch Angelina if you can - with that as his mantra Saurav staked out with journalists and photographers and tried to reach Jolie.
Only to be stopped again and again. But when the going got tough there was always someone to say Lage Raho.
"Making it was great fun. We figured out the more difficult the chases - the more difficult the better it will be for the documentary," he adds.
Saurav didn't get to meet Angelina after all but that didn't stop him from getting his 15 minutes of fame.
