Carlos Moya is at the Chennai Open again this year and the 31-year old spoke to CNN-IBN's Roma Khanna about another successful year on the circuit.
"I am at 17 at the end of the year. And last week I also had a chance to qualify for Shanghai and it was an excellent year. I was very motivated and came back to my best level. I was competitive against good players. I beat some of them so it was a great feeling," Carlos Moya said.
Roma Khanna: What exactly does it feel about the kind of year you had in 2007?
Carlos Moya: I changed the coach and was very motivated. I tried to be more aggressive, tried to go up to the nets more. I tried to win all points. But there is still a big room for improvement.
Roma Khanna: Do you feel that in 2008 you will be able to carry on the same momentum and do better starting with the Australian Open?
Carlos Moya: Well, you never know. Every year is going to be more and more difficult as new players keep on coming. So it is going to be tough but I feel I can use my experience which is going to help me a lot. I will try to be smarter.
Roma Khanna: Do you think that one of the reasons that you are enjoying the game more is that there is not much pressure on you. So you enjoy on the court?
Carlos Moya: Well, there is always pressure on the court. But you try to enjoy it. It is great to play in a full stadium like this and with people supporting you. They make me feel like I am 20-year-old. They give me so much support and that is great for me.
