Cherukuri Suman, the second son of Eenadu group chairman Ch Ramoji Rao, died at a private hospital here on Thursday night. He had been undergoing treatment for cancer for several months. He was 45 and is survived by wife Vijayeswari and a daughter.
Suman wrote, directed and acted in many programmes on ETV. He did his BCJ from Osmania University and masters degree in journalism from the US.
Later, he worked on the general desk of the Eenadu daily and also penned several edit page articles.
Many express grief
Several leaders, including chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu, Tamil Nadu governor K Rosaiah mourned the death of Suman.
Telugu film industry observed bandh on Friday as a mark of respect to Suman.
