New Delhi: In reference to the controversy sparked off by National Security Advisor M K Narayanan's interview to CNN-IBN, the Government has once again clarified about the stand the NSA took on Pakistan's response to the 26/11 dossier.

Home Minister P Chidambaram says there's no confusion over the issue. Chidambaram has backed External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee's stand that there is no official response from Pakistan on the dossier yet.

“Both Pranab Mukherjee and I have confirmed that we have not received any response to the dossier given to Pakistan,” reiterated P Chidambaram.

The Home Minister's clarification is significant since the government seemed to be talking in divergent voices on the issue.

It also shows that Narayanan now stands completely isolated on his comment that Pakistan has reverted to India and that Pakistan has asked a number of questions on the Mumbai terror attacks dossier.
