Chidambaram says forces joining YSR search

New Delhi: As a followup bid to the sudden disappearance of the Andhra Pradesh chief Minister YSR Reddy, while on his way from Karnool to Chittoor after the helicopter carrying him went off the radar and lost all contacts with the Air Traffic Controller In Hyderabad, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has confirmed to media saying, "AP forces have moved to a point where the chopper site was last seen. CRPF forces will reach in a hour or so lets hope for best."

"There is no good news yet. We are keeping our fingers crossed," said Chidambaram.

The home minister also said that the search operation would continue through the night.

"I have advised the state govt to begin the search even during the night. we will have to wait untill first light tomorrow...where we will have to press more helicopters.Lets hope for the best lets pray for the best, added Chidambaram.

Meanwhile, Sonia Gandhi has asked Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily and Minister of State in the PMO Prithviraj Chavan to rush to Hyderabad.

Helicopter search stopped for the time being because of light and weather conditions.
