Rourkela: In a shocking incident, a CISF constable on Monday shot dead a Sub-Inspector, injured three others and then committed suicide after firing from his own gun in front of the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).
Police said CISF constable Naresh Kumar suddenly fired from his gun at CISF Sub-Inspector C S Mishra, killing him on the spot and then started firing indiscriminately, injuring three others, including a woman constable.
Naresh Kumar then committed suicide by firing from his own gun. Police rushed the injured CISF jawans to Ispat General Hospital, where they were operated upon to remove the bullets.
The incident took place in the evening and the cause of the firing by the CISF constable was yet to be ascertained.
