Starring actors Aadi and debutant Shanvi, film Lovely recently completed 100 days of its successful running. And director B Jaya believes that credit to the film’s success goes to its ‘clean story’. “Nowadays people in the industry think that the formula behind a successful film is ‘double meaning’ dialogues and skin show,” shares Jaya, adding, “But Lovely was given a clean U certificate and now it has completed 100 days successfully. This clearly indicates that films don’t need skin show to be appreciated by the audience.”
Jaya has not only reaffirmed this point through her film, but has also managed to make a mark for herself in the industry. “Lovely is a complete family entertainer with romance, drama and action as well. So, even though I have directed five films before Lovely, people have recognised me now,” confesses the director.
She says that the industry has a misconception that women can’t direct action films, which is absolutely incorrect, and after Lovely, this misconception has begun to change. “People have started to realise that women directors are no less. Earlier the film industry had that mental block that women directors can’t direct action films. However, after Lovely that has changed. Actors Nagarjuna and Sunil expressed their wish to work with me. I have also readied scripts for the two of them. This is a good sign,” signs off the director with a smile.

Director B Jaya, whose film \'Lovely\' completed 100 days in theatres, believes that credit to the \'clean story\'.
