Kolkata: You could say they were in seventh heaven as they got engaged! A couple in Kolkata exchanged rings on a hot air balloon, 100 meters above the ground.
Santosh, a businessman, and Amrita Jaiswal, an MBA, were all smiles as they repeatedly planted kisses on each other's cheeks and waved at the crowds which had gathered to watch the unusual feat Friday evening.
The 70-ft-long and 15-ft-wide balloon zoomed into the sky from the Bidhan Nagar Sports Complex.
"It feels great. The sky seemed nearer," said Lucknow-based Amrita, who got the surprise of her life when Santosh disclosed the engagement plans only half an hour before the event.
