CM to open hospital today

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the renovated City Hospital here on Sunday.

“The hospital now has a 65-bed in-patient facility in addition to 9 super specialties headed by senior doctors,” said A Basheeruddin, chairman of City Hospital.

Dr Zia Mydin is the managing director of the hospital. The hospital is equipped with modern operation theatres with laminar airflow systems, anaesthesia station, ventilator and monitors. The hospital also has three ICUs and work is in progress for a pediatric and neo-natal ICUs.

Dr Zia said that a portion of the hospital will be converted into a full-fledged neuro-spine centre.
