"This is a great honour and we've been here for just two years and both the years we have won this award. This is for our team," the Joint Managing Director of GBN, Sameer Manchanda, said.
CNBC-TV 18, the business channel of Network 18, was awarded the country's best Business News Channel.
The Indian Telly Popular Awards were given in 38 categories its the seventh edition this year, including best actor (popular and critics — male and female), best supporting actor (male and female), best TV daily, best TV weekly, best continuing TV show, best TV anchor, best Hindi channel, best production house, best reality show, best talent show, best news channel (English and Hindi), best Hindi movie channel, best business news channel, the Hall of Fame award and the contribution to television award among others.
The awards night at the Chitrakoot Grounds in the Andheri suburb of Mumbai on Friday witnessed several power-packed performances by some of the biggest and most popular names from television industry.
