New Delhi: The CBI probe into the coal blocks allocation scam has reached the Prime Minister's Office. The investigating body has decided to question TKA Nair, the advisor to the Prime Minister.
Sources say that the CBI will question Nair on the coal allotment process followed by the PMO and possible favours, if any, which were given to different companies.
Sources say that the CBI wants to know why the cancellation clause was not followed by the government.
The interrogation is likely to take place next week.
The PMO, however, denied the reports. "There is no case against anyone at PMO. Officials have been assisting and cooperating with ongoing investigations and will continue to do so," it said in a statement.
