New Delhi: It has been a bitterly cold Wednesday across the North and North- West India.
The mercury plunged to 1.9 degrees in Delhi, the minimum this season.
It was one of the lowest temperatures on January 2 in Delhi in years and five degrees below normal.
The metrological office says the minimum might just fall to one degree in the capital on Thursday.
Over 100 people have died in the biting cold in the rest of North and Northwest India.
The Dal Lake remains frozen in Srinagar, where it was minus 7.4 degrees.
And it's freezing cold in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Eastern UP as well.
It was a shivery two degrees in Chandigarh and minus one degree at Churu in Rajasthan.
