VELLORE: Selvakumar (22) died from injuries received in the college bus mishap that took place on Monday, near Arcot. The bus attached to a private engineering college in Kancheepuram fell into a sandy river near Arcot, as it was proceeding to college, on Monday morning. Two male professors and 23 students were injured and are receiving treatment at a private hospital in Vellore. Sources claimed that the driver was talking into a mobile phone while driving. On Wednesday, one of the injured, studying first year BE Mechanical Engineering, died. Bus driver Arumugam (28) had fled the accident spot with minor injuries but was arrested on Tuesday and remanded. Arcot town police have filed a case.
