Stand up comedian Azhar Usman woos Capital

New Delhi: Stand up comedian Azhar Usman was in the Capital to perform for Indian audiences.

CNN-IBN’s Reshil Charles managed to catch up with him.

Reshil Charles: A lot of what you look so easy, taking humour out of a sensitive situation, trading on narrow lines, what sort of work goes into it?

Azhar Usman: Man, that's a great question Jerry Seinfeld is one of my favourite comedians. He says that the great paradox of stand up comedy is that the more effortless and easy a comedian makes his job look, the more work he has put into it. So, to make a show to appear to be very fluid and to talk about sensitive matters with a relative ease requires an enormous amount of work.

Reshil Charles: Also to take a fun quotient out of you, I am going to ask you a few names and I want you to describe them in one word. Azhar's parents are from Patna. So I am going to start asking you about Lalu Prasad Yadav!.

Azhar Usman: Brilliant.

Reshil Charles: Mayawati.

Azhar Usman: Never heard of it.

Reshil Charles: Condeleeza Rice.

Azhar Usman: Chawal (rice).

Reshil Charles: Obama.

Azhar Usman: President.
