Raipur: The main opposition Congress on Friday filed a criminal petition in the sessions court here against Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and two others, accusing them of corruption, in connection with regularisation of land in the possession of Bharat Aluminium Compnay Ltd.
Former minister and Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel filed the petition, seeking investigation against the Chief Minister, the then Chief Secretary P Ummen and BALCO CEO Gunjan Gupta.
The petition alleges corruption and loss of Rs 140 crore to the exchequer in the regularisation of land occupied by BALCO in Korba district of the state, said Congress spokesperson GS Ahluwalia.

The court will hear the case on August 4.
