New Delhi: Congress and NCP will meet on Saturday to iron out differences over certain assembly seats where both the parties have staked claim.
"Discussions are on. Seat sharing with NCP is still not finalised. Another round of discussion over a few seats is slated to take place tomorrow," senior Congress leader and Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh said on Friday.
On reports that out of 288 seats Congress will contest 174 and NCP 114, he said it would still require a couple of days to finalise the arrangement for the October 13 polls.
Maharashtra PCC chief Manikrao Thakare said that the Central Election Committee of the party could meet by Sunday.
