New Delhi: Its day two of the Congress plenary meeting and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will be addressing the 15,000 delegates on Monday in Delhi.
Expected to defend himself against the BJP's attack the Prime Minister will touch upon corruption. Sources say, but economic issues will be the main focus. Some key economic and foreign policy resolutions will be passed on the meeting.
The meeting comes at a time when the Government is facing the heat over numerous corruption scams.
On Sunday, Congress President Sonia Gandhi addressed the plenary, calling for speedy punishment for those guilty of corruption. She also lashed out at the BJP and the Opposition, saying the attack on the Prime Minister’s integrity is not acceptable.
After the Rahul Gandhi WikiLeaks episode, the party has passed a political resolution asking the Government to probe links between terrorists and the RSS and its sister organizations .
