Pune: Former Member of Parliament from Osmanabad Arvind T Kamble, 57, succumbed to swine flu on Monday.
This has taken the swine flu death toll to 150 in the city, health officials said.
Kamble, a former Maharashtra minister, breathed his last in Ruby Hall Clinic, a private hospital in Pune.
He showed swine flu-like symptoms early this month and was initially admitted to Lokmanya Hospital in Latur, central Maharashtra. After his throat swap tested positive, Kamble was shifted to Ruby Hall Clinic on December 15, the officials said.
Kamble was put on Tamiflu in the Latur hospital but he could not recover from the infection, the officials said.
He was elected to Lok Sabha from Osmanabad in Marathwada in 1984, 1989, 1991 and 1998. He was also a minister in the Maharashtra government in early 1980s.
He is survived by a wife, one son and two married daughters.
