THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The construction work of the new building for the Indian Institute of Diabetes will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Wednesday at a function to be presided over by Health Minister Adoor Prakash. Shashi Tharoor MP and Mayor K Chandrika will also be present on the occasion. The new building at Pulayanarkotta will be built at a cost of ` 5 crore, the first instalment of the ` 14 crore grant of the Central Government. The construction work will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister at 3 pm.
