Controversies resulted ex-CJI to loss NHRC job

Former chief justice of India Y K Sabharwal has been refused the position of chairman of National Human Rights Commission by the Indian Government - the reason was controversies and allegations of corruption surrounding his tenure as a judge. In a RTI reply, the Home Ministry has revealed that Justice Sabharwal's name was dropped for the NHRC's top job because of the 'adverse media and other reports' against him.
