New Delhi: A Delhi Police constable has been accused of beating up a woman complainant because she refused to give him a bribe.
The woman came to the Budh Vihar police post to file a complaint after her purse was stolen on a public bus.
She says the on-duty constable, Sukhbir, demanded Rs 200 in bribe. When she refused, he allegedly beat her up and even tore her clothes.
A case was registered after members of the State Women's Commission intervened and a medical examination of the woman confirmed that she was beaten up.
