Indore: Before Bollywood Star Salman Khan kicked off campaigning to drum up support for the Congress candidate for mayor for civic polls, police on Wednesday lathicharged his supporters who turned unruly to get a glimpse of the actor at his birthplace.
"No one was injured in the lathicharge," police said.
Before Salman came out from the hotel where he was staying, hundreds of his fans had gathered near the open truck he was supposed to use for campaigning, police said.
After his fans did not clear way and jostled to come closer to Salman, the police lathicharged to make way for the truck with the actor to move for the electioneering in support of Congress Mayoral candidate Pankaj Sanghvi.
