New Delhi: Delhi Police have not made much headway into the murder case of journalist Soumya Viswanathan.
However, the police claim they have come across one more witness who had heard a gunshot.
The 25-year-old journalist was shot dead in the capital while driving home from work at around 340 hrs IST on Tuesday morning.
As of now, the police are only confirming the firing of one bullet that was found in Soumya's head. They are also trying to confirm how fast the car was travelling at the time of the murder.
The CCTV footage of the parking lot of Soumya's office is also being examined.
"Police has come across one more person who was there at that time. We want to to request to those who know something to please inform us," DCP South HGS Dhaliwal said.
Police say that the bullet found inside Soumya's head was most probably fired from a .315 bore country-made pistol.
