Yasir recalls the trauma as he recuperates in a city hospital.
"I was tying my belt when he asked me my name. He took me aside and caught hold of me. Then he took out a razor and cut my throat. He was very tall man," Yasir said.
The 'razor man' has been targeting children and the elderly. Six-year-old Mubarak met the same fate just a few miles away from his school.
"He called me when I went to school. I told him I was getting late. But he held me and attacked me," Mubarak said.
Meanwhile, the police claim they nabbed the 'razor man' - Javid Ahmad Kumar - within 24 hours of these attacks.
"He has been arrested. We have got the guy and he fits the description of the boys," SSP Srinagar, Afadul Mujtaba said.
According to the police, Javid’s medical records suggest he's schizophrenic. He has allegedly attacked even his mother and uncle. But as for now, police say there’s no reason to panic because Javid is in their custody.
