Police probe Headley's Pune hotel stay

Pune: Terror suspect David Coleman Headley stayed at a Pune hotel close to the Osho Ashram in March 2009. Police have found evidence of his stay at Hotel Surya Villa in Pune's Koregaon Park.

Police have also seized documents including the C-form spiral, a mandatory form to be filled by foreigners while checking into a hotel and the main entry register.

The form also has a copy of Headley's passport attached to it and bears his photograph.

But the he main register has corroborating entries as the purpose of Headley's visit has been stated as 'business', not 'tourist'.

Moreover, in the space provided for date and place of arrival in India, the details were scratched after filling up. Surya Villa hotel is close to the Osho Ashram and is frequented by many foreigners.

Meanwhile, Headley's gym instructor in Mumbai Vilas Warak, who trained him at the Moksh gym, says he has lost his job.

But the owner of Moksha Gym, Pritish Nandy, said that to us that the gym instructor hasn't been sacked.

The gym trainer was told that this is not the time to come to the gym and answer queries from media. He was told to stay away for some time.. I cannot answer on somebody's behalf. Vilas, the gym instructor, has not been sacked," said Nandy.
