New Delhi: At a time when film-making is costing a bomb for the producers, a few production houses in Tollywood are not hesitating to shell out huge sums on some ambitious ventures in the hope of minting money later at the box-office.
RR Movie Makers is one such banner, which is now presenting Naga Chaitanya's upcoming flick Autonagar Surya. Producers K Atchi Reddy and RR Venkat are learnt to have spent a staggering Rs 2 crore on a special set for the film, which is the costliest ever in the history of Telugu cinema.
The movie has Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the leading lady and is being helmed by critically acclaimed director Deva Katta. Anoop Rubens is churning out the musical compositions. Autonagar Surya is based on the powerful labor unions in Vijayawada and is planned for release in summer. Naga Chaitanya is also working for will be launched on February 25. Sarathkumar's daughter Varalakshmi is debuting as heroine in this family drama.
