Bulandshahr: RTI activist and Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal has been summoned personally by a district and sessions court in Bulandshahr on July 25, for his alleged offensive remarks against Members of Parliament.

A notice was sent yesterday to Kejriwal by district and sessions judge on a complaint by a Bulandshehar resident - Jitendra Sindhu, seeking his prosecution, prosecutor Manoj Choudhary said.

Kejriwal had triggered a political storm by saying that Parliament was filled with murderers, rapists and dacoits, while addressing a rally in Ghaziabad on February 25 this year.

Arvind Kejriwal had triggered a political storm by saying that Parliament was filled with murderers, rapists and dacoits.

The social activist was also served with a Breach of Privilege notice for his derogatory comments on MPs.

Kejriwal has so far remained defiant to his comment saying, "We don't apologise about what we have said about the parliamentarians. They have failed to answer questions raised by common people."

However, Kejriwal said that he respected Parliament, but he was not sorry for what he had said.

Sindhu had earlier too filed a similar complaint at a court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (Junior Division), but it was rejected. In protest of the order, he wrote a letter to the President demanding euthanasia.
