Rajkot: The highlight of the second day of the ongoing Test match between India and England in Ahmedabad was the unbeaten double century by Cheteshwar Pujara. There were celebrations in Rajkot on the super knock by the Gujarat batsman and several people visited the Pujara residence to congratulate his family.
The double century is a matter of great pride for Arvind Pujara, the father of the star batsman, who said that the knock was a matter of great pride for the family. He gave the credit of the unbeaten knock to his son's fiancee, Puja.
"When a life partner comes into someone's life, then the luck of the life partner gets combined with the efforts made by the person. A similar thing has happened with my son,” said Arvind Pujara.

There were celebrations in Rajkot on the super knock by the Gujarat batsman and several people visited the Pujara residence.
He said that Puja, along with Cheteshwar's uncle, were inside the stadium when he hit the unbeaten double century, adding that the runs would instill self belief in the batsman.
Cheteshwar's father also expressed hope that a century in a Test match will make him a more mature person. When asked if Cheteshwar had proved to be a perfect replacement for iconic cricketer Rahul Dravid, Arvind said that it would not be fair to say so. He pointed that Dravid was a great cricketer and had an international star while it was just the beginning for his son.
