Mumbai: What's cricket got to do with fashion? That was the recipe at the Blender's Pride Fashion Tour.
But you know fashion fatigue has set in when it takes more than just the regular models to be showstoppers on the ramp.
So Australian cricketers Glenn McGrath and Stephen Fleming ditched the pitch in favour of the catwalk for designers Shantanu and Nikhil while Shilpa Shetty did the honours for her friend Rocky S.
And as for the perks of being a model, actor Shilpa Shetty explained, “I’m taking this dress with me. I don’t know where I’ll wear it but I love it!”
“Unfortunately I’m already married otherwise this could have been my wedding gown,” said McGrath, while Fleming admitted, “Cricket is so much easier than modeling. But it was a great experience.”
So we've seen the metro sexual and retrosexual looks but now we have something else.
"It's a homosexual look, with a fun side to it. Just kidding,” said designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil.
And designer Aki Narula, who's recently designed the look for Don, is spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing which is sexier - the ramp or the movies.
"There has to be an orgasm everywhere. Fashion gave me my first and Bollywood has given me multiple orgasms,” he said.
