New Delhi: South African Johan Botha is set to join Australia's domestic Twenty league Big Bash after the South African signed a contract with the Adelaide Strikers.

The Strikers' coach Chuck berry termed Botha's inclusion a value addition to his team that boasts of T20 experts Kieron Pollard and Alfonso Thomas.

South Africa's Johan Botha has signed up for Adelaide Strikers in the Australian domestic T20 tournament Big Bash.
"We already have two T20 superstars with Kieron Pollard and Alfonso Thomas on the list. Now we have Johan signed up as a very exciting addition to the roster," Berry was quoted as saying to a website.
"Botha is a very aggressive and successful T20 player and will add a lot of voice and animation to the group, and that is a very big part of T20 cricket - that's what the fans want to see," he added.
BOth, 29, has played 28 T20 internationals for South Africa with an economy rate of 6.28, which is considered excellent in the game's ultra-limited format.
Beside being a miserly bowler, Botha is also a handy batsman lower down the order and will add strength to the Strikers' tail in the tournament that kicks off on December 16.
