Dubai: Australian Geoff Allardice, a former first class cricketer, has been named the ICC's new general manager cricket, succeeding David Richardson, who has been promoted to chief executive of the world cricket body.
For the past decade, Allardice has worked with Cricket Australia, most recently as the general manager cricket operations. He played first class cricket for Victoria.
"Geoff has a wealth of knowledge and experience gained during his time with Cricket Australia," Richardson said.
