New Delhi: Veteran batsman Anjum Chopra will lead the Indian women's cricket team in the limited overs series against Australia, starting March 12 in Ahmedabad.
Mithali Raj has been named as Anjum's deputy for the series.
According to a BCCI statement, the All-India Women's Selection Committee picked up the 15-member squad after a meeting at the Cricket Centre in Mumbai on February 29.
During the home series, India will play three ODIs and five Twenty20 matches against the Australian women's team.
After the opening ODI in Ahmedabad, the action will shift to Mumbai, which will host the remaining two games of the 50-over format on March 14 and 16.
All the Twenty20 matches of the series will be played in Visakhapatnam from March 18 to 23.
