Says that he had a brief chat with the three fast bowlers mentioning that they were one of the best in the world and Lyon complements them well. Adds that England are a wonderful team, they have received a lot of criticism but you don't get to the No.1 position for nothing.

Alastair Cook says that it's tough to swallow the series defeat and in the end they weren't good enough. Adds that they tried to change the way they played but credits Clarke for tackling whatever they threw at them. Thanks the supporters and apologizes for letting them down.

Adds that it was the first match which turned the things around for them and it was their plan to be aggressive. Mentions that Haddin deserves to be up there and sharing the trophy for his performance in this series.

Ryan Harris is named the Man of the Match. He says that it has been a great series, he didn't expect a 5-0 scoreline but it's a great achievement. Adds that he was confident that he could play five matches in a row. Says that he was trying to be consistent and the other bowlers also helped. Mentions that they are a close group and work pretty well as a unit. Adds that he is happy playing Test cricket and if he's playing well, he might consider ODIs too.

The umpires and match referees are being presented with medals.

England were poor throughout the tour and were completely outclassed in all departments. Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad were the only shining stars in the dark English tunnel. Mitchell Johnson, Brad Haddin and Steven Smith were the ones who made the biggest impact for Australia. But it was the Johnson-effect which might have started it all. His fighting innings with the bat at the 'Gabba was followed by ruthless bowling performances throughout the series. This series might well be termed as 'MITCHELL JOHNSON'S ASHES!' The Australian players are taking a victory lap at the SCG, the crowd and the players are enjoying every moment of it.

A splendid performance from Australia and what a way to bounce back after the Ashes loss in England and inflict a 5-0 whitewash! Australia started the match on the back foot but it was Smith and Haddin who got them out of trouble and help them post a competitive total. The Australian pacers, who were impressive throughout the series, continued to impress as they helped the hosts achieve a massive lead. Rogers' century in the second innings helped Australia post a huge target and then Harris' five-for sealed it for the hosts inside three days.
