The two of the hot favourites for the Asia Cup 2014, India and Sri Lanka lock horns for what could be one of the most vital games of the tournament.

A win for either side would almost ensure a place in the final of the competition as both the teams have already won their respective opening matches.

Sangakkara's 103 helped SL hold their nerves after being 215/7 to win the Asia Cup encounter by chasing down India's 264/9.

India will look to build a winning momentum after notching up a six-wicket win against hosts Bangladesh on Wednesday.

Man of the Match Kumar Sangakkara says that the dew on the ground made it a lot easier for him to score runs. Adds that his job was to stay out in the middle till the end and see them through. Mentions that they stuttered in the middle but with Thisara Perera still to come, they knew that they could win it. Lauds the bowling and fielding efforts of Chathuranga de Silva.

Angelo Mathews says that his groin got a bit stiff but it's fine now. Adds that it was a close game and they bowled pretty well to restrict India to a middling total. The spinners were fantastic and then the champion, Sangakkara, came to the fore while batting with a brilliant innings.

Virat Kohli says that the bowlers did a good job as there was a lot a dew in the end. Mentions that it was a good effort to take it to the last over. Adds that they could have been more smarter while batting and hence they could have had 25-30 runs more. Lauds Jadeja's bowling efforts and says that they need to pull up their socks and perform well in the next match.

Sri Lanka hold their nerves again to edge out India this time. Their bowlers did well to restrict India to a middling total. Chasing the target they got off to a very good start thanks to Thirimanne and Kusal Perera who added 80 runs. Kusal Perera and Sangakkara then stitched together a 54-run stand but then they fell apart as the Indian spinners wove a web around the middle order. Sangakkara held fort at one end and placed his innings to perfection to score a glorious century. Thisara Perera and Mendis held their nerves in the end to power Sri Lanka past the finish line. Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers for India with figures of 3/30. As a result of this victory, Sri Lanka sit at the top of the table with 8 points.
