Commentary (Australia 2nd Innings)

That's it from us here! Do join us for the third and final Test starting on March 1st. Until then, good bye and take care.

Man of the Match JP Duminy says that he is speechless. It was a good all-round performance. The spell from Steyn reverse swinging the ball was just special. It's been a long time coming for him, he was under a bit of pressure and he is happy that he has delivered under pressure.

South African captain Graeme Smith says that it's been amazing, there was a lot of emotion in the public and they had a lot of hard work going into the match. To take 20 wickets on this track was fantastic and he is proud of the bowlers. People start asking questions if Steyn doesn't get five wickets but he is a champion bowler and he showed it today. Adds that they showed a lot of mental strength. Mentions that they are excited for the Cape Town Test.

Australian Captain Michael Clarke says that their first innings was crucial but credits South Africa, they outplayed them in all the departments. Adds that Steyn's execution of reverse swing was fantastic. The start that Warner and Rogers gave was fantastic. Mentions that they have few days to work on for the last Test and it's going to be an exciting one.

de Villiers and Duminy set the platform in the first innings. The fast bowlers then complemented the batsmen well achieving a 177-run lead. Amla's ton in the second innings put South Africa in a strong position and then the final session spell from Steyn just ripped apart the Australians. With one Test to go and the series level at 1-1 we can expect a cracker in Cape Town.

What a victory for South Africa. After being outclassed in the first Test, they have hit back really hard. They dominated the first three days and were in the driver's seat. Australia were set a daunting target and they started off well with the openers stitching together a century stand. But the hosts turned it around in the final session. Steyn led the way with a fantastic spell to remove Clarke, Smith and Haddin to break Australia's spine. The rest was taken care of by the other bowlers as South Africa cruised to a thumping victory.
