South African captain, AB de Villiers (Man of the Match) says that he is very happy with effort and is extremely happy with the way his boys played. He adds, they slipped up a little bit with the timing of the Powerplay and Sri Lanka bowled pretty well in those overs. He also says that he is ecstatic on winning the series. He adds they worked really hard to win the series and it means a lot.

Sri Lankan captain, Angelo Mathews says that it was disappointing and they dint deserve to win. He also says that they were flat on the field and weren't good with the ball. He adds, it was tough to beat South Africa and reckons they need to bounce back as this is not the end of the world.

Sri Lanka started the chase in a promising manner as the openers went after the ball from the first over itself. Perera got out but Dilshan and Sangakkara continued to hit out. They were 107/1 when things went awry and the middle order collapsed with wickets falling at regular intervals. Mathews scored a fifty trying to fight but he too could not do much as McLaren shined for the visitors.
