    Commentary (England 1st Innings)

That's it from us then. Join us again for the second ODI on 2nd March at same time, same venue. Until then, good bye and take care!

Dwayne Bravo is the Man of the Match - Thanks the Almighty first of all. Says the team showed a lot of character and a good fighting spirit and the last 15 overs won the game for them. Admits bowling at the death is difficult but the bowlers did well and he had confidence in his bowlers to defend this total. He wants to improve and they are looking forward for the second game on Sunday.

English captain, Stuart Broad - Says they were fantastic till 40 overs but conceded 100-odd in the last 7 overs. Admits they didn't react to the conditions and West Indies did well. He is delighted with Lumb's knock and says there are still lots of positives from this game. It hurts him that in the last few overs they didn't score many runs. Adds they need to learn quickly.

Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowlers as he grabbed two wickets for just 36 runs in his 10 overs. WEST INDIES LEAD THE 3-MATCH SERIES 1-0!

While chasing, England got off to a superb start. Their debutants shared a 96-run stand between them and it seemed as if England will chase down the total. They started throwing away their wickets and they suddenly got into trouble. And they failed to chase down the total eventually. West Indian bowlers did a great job to come back in this match and emerged victorious as Lumb's century went in vain.

After put in to bat first, West Indies lost four early wickets when the score didn't even reach fifty. Then there were two century stands. First with Simmons and Bravo and then Bravo and Sammy. The latter duo scored many runs towards the end and helped West Indies put a good total on the board.

If there is one reason why West Indies won and England didn't then it was with the batting at the death. West Indies scored lots of runs whereas the English batsmen found it tough to get the ball go past the fence.
