Kolkata: Rain has played spoilsport twice in Kolkata Knight Riders' IPL home matches this season and the Met department has once again sounded a warning for Saturday's sold-out clash against the Sourav Ganguly-led Pune Warriors India. The met office has predicted heavy rains and thundershowers towards the evening, threatening to spoil the show that has generated huge interest among city's cricket buffs.
The city received rainfall and thundershowers for two days in succession since yesterday and Saturday's forecast was no different. "Thundersquall with wind speed reaching between 50 and 60 kmph and accompanied with lightning may occur at isolated places over Orissa and West Bengal," said the Met forecast.
KKR's match against Deccan Chargers here on April 24 was washed out without even a ball being bowled after a thunderstorm accompanied with heavy rain lashed the Eden Gardens. The hosts had opened their IPL campaign after going down to leaders Delhi Daredevils in a rain-truncated 12-overs-a-side fixture on April 5. The fixture is seen as Pune skipper-cum-mentor Ganguly's revenge match against his former franchise that snubbed him after a three-season association.

The rain threatens to spoil the show that has generated huge interest among Kolkata\'s cricket buff.
