New Delhi: After tensions escalated between India and Pakistan at the Line of Control (Loc), which forced Pakistan hockey players to return back, BCCI now finds itself in a fix about where to host Pakistan team's matches in the upcoming ICC Women's World Cup scheduled to be held in Mumbai, sources told CNN-IBN.
It was also learned that the PCB is keen to send the women's team for the ICC event but is waiting for the advice from its Indian counterpart and the ICC. All the matches of the event are to be held in Mumbai, where on Sunday Shiv Sena protested against the Pakistan hockey players who arrived in India to take part in the Hockey India League.
However, PCB is hoping that BCCI is able to find a solution to the problem and the Pakistan team's participation in the premier event is not jeopardised.
The women's World Cup is to be held in Mumbai from January 28 to February 17.
