New Delhi: Former India skipper and legendary spinner Bishan Singh Bedi on Sunday questioned the selectors' decision to drop Virender Sehwag from the 15-man India squad for the first three one-day internationals (ODI) of the five-match series against England starting January 11.
"Is dropping only Sehwag the ansr to all ills of Ind crkt t'day? Admittedly V've exprts unlikly 2 Q bcci fr reasons not unknown-dedwud stays!!" -- Bedi tweeted.
Sehwag, who has been in poor form of late, was dropped from the third and final ODI against Pakistan here at the Ferozshah Kotla Sunday which India won by 10 runs. Sehwag has been going through a rough patch and has averaged just 22.54 in the 11 ODIs he has played in the last 12 months. The Sandip Patil-led selection committee met here on Sunday and announced the team immediately after the match.
