Mirpur: Duronto Rajshahi registered their second victory in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) after they beat Khulna Royal Bengals by six wickets here on Wednesday.

Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim played an unbeaten innings of 47 off 34 balls, while opener Shahzaib Hasan scored a half-century (52 off 46 balls) as Rajshahi overhauled the Bengals’ target of 145 with five balls to spare.

Hasan and Junaid Siddique gave the Rajshahi the perfect start by sharing 46 runs, but the 76-run stand for the fourth wicket between Hasan and Rahim proved decisive at the end.

BPL: Duronto beat Bengals by six wickets

Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim played an unbeaten innings of 47 off 34 balls, while opener Shahzaib Hasan scored a fifty.

Earlier, none of their four foreign recruits - Shivnarine Chanderpaul (4), Herschelle Gibbs (18), Sanath Jayasuriya (12) and Dwayne Smith (17) - could make a big score despite getting starts.

Only a blitzkrieg (44 off 26 balls) from captain Shakib Al Hasan helped the Bengals put up a decent score.

Abdul Razzaq was the pick of the Rajshahi bowler, picking up two wickets for 26 runs.
