Chittagong: Marshall Ayub took four for 20 with his legspin as Khulna Royal Bengals got the better off Chittagong Kings by 44 runs in their Bangladesh Premier League match here on Monday.
Batting first, Khulna scored 137 for six in their 20 overs, with Nasir Hossain scoring 42 off 38 balls. Left-arm orthodox Enamul Haque jnr took three wickets for the Kings while Kevin Cooper chipped in with two wickets.
Chasing a modest total, none of the Kings' batsmen could face the legspin from Ayub confidently and make a substantial score, with J Roy scoring the highest, 30. The second best score after Roy's 30 was 12 each by skipper Mahmudullah and Arafat Sunny.
With this win, Khulna rocketed to the top of the standings with 10 points from seven matches, while Kings are at third with eight points from as many matches.
