Khulna: Sylhet Royals continued their fantastic form in this year's Bangladesh Premier League as they won their fourth match in a row to lead the points table. They defeated Dhaka Gladiators by seven wickets in Khulna on Friday. Dhaka were also unbeaten before this match but now are second following the loss.
Chasing 153 to win, Mushfiqur Rahim scored an unbeaten 75 from 50 balls to help Sylhet Royals reach the target with 8 balls to spare. He hit 3 fours and 4 sixes in his entertaining knock.
Royals lost Hamilton Masakadza in the very first over but Mushfiqur and Mominul Haque shared a 79-run stand in 61 balls to put them in a commanding position. Haque scored 37 in 35 balls. Nazmul Hossain Milon, who made 25 off 17 balls, added 55 for an unbeaten fourth-wicket stand with Mushfiqur to take the team past Dhaka total.
Earlier for Dhaka, Mohammad Ashraful and Anamul Haque scored thirties, but neither could push the tempo at the top of the order. Mohammad Nabi and Dirk Nannes were pick of the bowlers as they took two wickets each.
